Yes. If your plans change before you complete your booking, you may request a refund of your deposit in accordance with the Residency Presale Terms. Your reservation remains active while you wait unless you ask us to cancel and refund it.

Your Residency includes your accommodation, three meals every day, access to the Sanctuary grounds and on-site amenities, and the everyday Alma Libre experience.

That includes normal wellness and movement programming, workshops, learning, recreation, community activities, social experiences, events, and other programming happening during your stay.

Much of what you would normally travel around and pay separately to experience is already built into everyday life here.

Travel to and from Alma Libre Sanctuary Costa Rica is not included unless specifically stated.

Certain destination excursions, professional certifications, specialty programs, premium experiences, personal purchases, and specially ticketed offerings may carry an additional cost.

If something costs extra, we’ll make that clear before you book it. However, everything you see on our website is all inclusive unless you see a very obvious promotion for a special product or service.

Alma Libre is a participatory Residency. Residents contribute approximately 20 hours per week in one Steward-led department.

That could include growing food, cooking, natural building, wellness, hospitality, events, media, operations, education, art, making, engineering, business development, or other Sanctuary projects.

Your Steward organizes the work, helps match Residents with appropriate roles, teaches and guides where needed, and makes sure your contribution is part of something useful.

You contribute to one part. You benefit from the whole.

Stewards are the experienced people who lead Alma Libre’s individual departments.

Each Steward is selected for real knowledge, experience, and leadership ability in their field — whether that is regenerative agriculture, natural building, wellness, food, hospitality, engineering, education, events, media, business, or another part of the Sanctuary.

Stewards run their departments, maintain standards, organize projects, teach and mentor Residents, and coordinate the approximately 20 hours of weekly Resident participation in their area.

They are paid leadership positions. Stewards receive a salary plus profit share, aligning their success with the long-term success of their department, the Sanctuary, and Alma Libre.

That means Resident participation is not random busywork. You are contributing alongside people who know what they are doing, while having the opportunity to learn from them and potentially gain accreditation with accumulated hours.

Yes. If you have meaningful professional experience, leadership ability, and expertise that could strengthen an Alma Libre department, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for people who can both do the work and teach others how to do it — people capable of leading a department, mentoring Residents, organizing projects, and helping that area become increasingly productive and valuable.

Steward positions are paid and include salary plus profit-sharing participation.

No. Some Residents arrive with professional skills they want to share. Others come specifically because they want to learn something completely new.

Stewards lead each department, so your participation can include helping, learning, practicing, creating, and contributing at an appropriate level.

Yes. Alma Libre is designed for people who still have businesses, jobs, projects, and responsibilities outside the Sanctuary.

Reliable high-speed internet and spaces suitable for remote work are part of the planned infrastructure.

Your participation commitment still leaves substantial time for your own work, relationships, rest, adventure, and personal life.

Alma Libre provides three meals per day with a well-rounded selection of proteins, vegetables, carbohydrates, and other fresh foods.

At this stage, we are not able to provide individualized meal plans or guarantee accommodation for specific diets, food allergies, intolerances, or highly restrictive dietary requirements.

We’ll aim to provide variety at each meal so Residents have choices, but our kitchen is designed to serve the community as a whole rather than prepare separate meals for individual dietary needs.

Our private-room option gives you your own bedroom inside a shared two-bedroom luxury glamping tent, while the larger Alma Libre environment makes it easy to meet people and become part of the community.

You can also book a private tent for your own use at full rate. You do not need to arrive with a partner, group, or existing connection to Alma Libre.

Sanctuary One will be in Costa Rica, but the final property has not yet been secured. We are currently short listing a number of contenders and discussing options with sellers.

Site selection is focused on finding land capable of supporting the actual Alma Libre model — including abundant natural water, waterfalls, productive land, nature, resilience infrastructure, and enough space to build the Sanctuary properly.

First Class Residents will receive the property reveal and Behind the Build updates as soon as the site is secured.

Once the final property is secured, we’ll provide detailed arrival information, nearby airport options, driving instructions, transportation recommendations, and any shuttle or transfer options we establish.

You won’t need to figure it out on your own.

Everyone who reserves during the pre-opening Residency presale becomes an Alma Libre First Class Resident.

That status is permanent.

First Class Residents receive priority access immediately after Founders for Residencies, events, holiday periods, retreats, specials, limited-capacity experiences, and future releases.
