Each allocation of net profit serves a specific purpose and is explained in more detail below.
50% Founder & Steward Profit Share
40% Growth & Resilience Fund
10% Global Administration
Unlike traditional hospitality businesses, Alma Libre is an "Agri Tourism" Model designed around participation rather than payroll. Founders, Stewards, Residents, volunteers, and guests all contribute to the project in different ways, reducing the need for large salaried teams while creating stronger alignment and a deeper sense of ownership.
Operating expenses still include property maintenance, utilities, supplies, contractors, insurance, taxes, and other essential costs—but the day-to-day operation of the sanctuary is supported by the people who are actively participating in it.
After operating expenses are paid, 50% of net profit is allocated to Founder and Steward profit share.
Founders participate in the success of the Alma Libre network, not just one location. As new sanctuaries are added, the long-term opportunity grows with the ecosystem.
Stewards participate by taking responsibility for key areas of the sanctuary and helping each location operate, improve, and succeed.
Founders also receive priority lodging access during qualifying crisis periods, as defined by the Founder Agreement.
A $2000/mth Base Salary plus profit share is paid to Stewards until Profit Share exceeds 50k per year.
The Growth & Resilience Fund exists to strengthen the current sanctuary before expanding to the next.
It may be used to improve infrastructure, develop new revenue-generating opportunities, expand food production, increase resilience, acquire additional assets, and support the launch of future sanctuary locations.
This is the first major component of the Alma Libre Financial Flywheel. Increase revenue, decrease costs/dependency.
The fund may also be used to invest in aligned joint ventures with long-term Residents and Stewards.
These partnerships are designed to help members build businesses that strengthen the Alma Libre ecosystem while creating new income opportunities for both the individual and the sanctuary. Joint ventures are evaluated individually and may be structured as 50/50 partnerships or other mutually beneficial arrangements.
This allocation supports the shared systems that allow Alma Libre to operate as a growing network rather than a collection of independent properties.
Examples include legal services, accounting, software, insurance, technology, marketing, compliance, and other administrative costs required to support every sanctuary.
No one receives a salary from this allocation. It exists solely to cover the shared operating expenses of Alma Libre Global.
